While today’s comic books are normally 6 5/8″ wide by 10 3/16″ high (Current size), these dimensions were not always standardized. Throughout the history of comic books, publishers have made comics is different sizes (learn more). For the purpose of bag and board sizes, BCW has simplified the sizes into three groups, or ages.
Golden Age – circa 1938 to 1955
Regular/Silver Age – circa 1956 to 1969
Current/Modern Age – circa 1970 to present
To keep comic books preserved, they’re normally stored in bags with boards and you’ll want to get bags and boards sized appropriately for your collection. If you’re not sure what size of bags and boards you need, please measure your comics.

Toploading holders are an affordable method to protect and display photos, documents, posters, and other large art prints. These toploaders are made from a clear PVC which does not contain chemicals that will damage the enclosed prints.
BCW offers a range of sizes of toploaders. Below are the poster sizes in inches. You can view smaller sizes for cards, photos, and specialty items here.
Inserting documents into toploaders can be tricky if the document is glossy, as static electricity between the glossy document and the plastic prevent sliding the piece into the toploader. To help, blow into the toploader as you insert the document, creating a thin cushion of air between the glossy document and the plastic. Just make sure you don’t spit on the document.
BCW Toploaders are designed to store prints on a shelf or in a box, hence they do not have a hanging mechanism. If your goal is to display the print on a wall, a little MacGyvering is needed. For small to medium toploaders, you can adhere these hang tabs on the back of the toploaders. Adhesive backed flat magnets or Velcro work great in many instances. You can also look in the hardware aisle at your local home center or craft store to find hanging systems from 3M and others. For the larger posters shown above, we drilled small holes in the upper corners of the toploaders and hung them with small finishing nails.
CrystalCommerce is a system for hobby shops to manage their inventory and market their products to customers in their brick and mortar store, e-commerce site, and affiliate marketplaces such as TCGplayer. This system was originally developed to sell Magic: The Gathering cards, but other products such as comics and board games are listed in the CrystalCommerce system. Most of BCW’s gaming supplies are already loaded in the CrystalCommerce network. This means the roughly 800 hobby shops that use CrystalCommerce can quickly import BCW products from their CrystalCommerce admin page and start selling!
Hobby Shops can learn more about CrystalCommerce here.
CrystalCommerce partners can learn how to import products on their site here.

Hellboy in Hell is the newest addition to BCW’s line of printed comic boxes. This short comic box features the artwork of Mike Mignola from the Hellboy in Hell comic book series published by Dark Horse Comics. BCW Short Comic Boxes are strong, stackable boxes that can hold 150 to 175 comics in bags and boards.
Most BCW cardboard boxes are only large enough to hold standard 2½” x 3½” cards or cards in sleeves. However several boxes have wider rows to accommodate cards in protective holders such as semi-rigids, toploaders, 1-screws, magnetics or other holders or cases. Some BCW boxes are designed to hold graded cards or other tall cards. A few boxes have both wide rows and increased height.
If you are trying to decide which BCW boxes are right for your collection, the list below shows the basic sizes. If you store cards in protective holders, you’ll need a box with WIDE rows. If you have graded cards, other tall cards, or you have 4-screw card holders, get a box labelled GRADED.
Note the length of the card boxes are often named by the number of cards they can hold, such as a 930-ct. Box, however these sizes are based on the thickness of a traditional card. Modern cards are often thicker than traditional Topps baseball cards. Learn more

Magic: The Gathering Commander Decks, also known as Elder Dragon Highlander (EDH), are comprised of 100 cards in a deck. This format promotes fun, casual games with a low barrier to entry. As there are more cards in these decks, as compared to regular MTG decks, Commander deck storage solutions need to be proportionally larger.
BCW Card Sorting Box with 100 ct. Boxes and Large Deck Cases
In addition to the 100 ct. Boxes and Large Deck Cases pictured in the Sorting Box, BCW offers other deck cases that are large enough to hold Commander decks. The Commander Deck Locker LT has removable trays for the cards and dice. BCW’s Deck Keeper is a clear, friction-fit design. The Tandem Deck Case hinges open with two large compartments.
4-Pocket Pages protecting Pokémon double cards and oversized MTG Commander cards
MTG Commander decks traditionally have oversized Commander cards. Whether you use these in battle, or simply as collectibles, you’ll want to keep these protected as well. If you keep these protected individually, a BCW 3.5″ x 5″ Toploader is a smart choice. If you keep your MTG cards in a 3-ring binder, get BCW 4-Pocket Pages to display your oversized cards. Other 3.5″ x 5″ cards are included in Planechase, Vanguard, and Archenemy MTG formats. The 3.5″ x 5″ toploaders are great for keeping “double cards” together, like the Pokémon Legends shown above.
With the growing popularity of Fantasy Flight’sStar Wars X-Wing, Imperial Assault, Armada, and Destiny, BCW has produced several products to help players protect and organize their cards. Many of these products work equally well for WizKids’Star Trek Attack Wing and similar games.
Register for the April 7-9, 2017, Washington D.C. Stele Open.
BCW chose to offer a 3-Ring Binder solution for these cards, as compared to a folio where the pages are permanently bound into the album. With pages in a 3-ring binder, you can adjust the number and type of pages for the specific needs of your favorite game.
If you’re looking for a sophisticated method to store and display your trading cards, BCW’s LT Deck Lockers and Z-Folios are the perfect solution. These are designed to protect Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, and other 2½ x 3½ cards that are loose or in card sleeves.
The outside of these LT Deck Lockers and Z-Folios are made from a premium leatherette (LT). The LT material starts as a deep black, but after several months of use, fades to a worn brown, just like a leather jacket.
If you want a Deck Locker or folio, but brown in not your favorite choice, try one of BCW’s colorful LX products:
